Maguindanao Energy Farms, Inc. is a startup 1400ha Napier Grass plantation. It was organized for the primary goal of providing Lamsan Power Corp. with the necessary biomass feed stock.
But because this plantation is situated in an area that is right at the center of the Bangsamoro region, where vast tracts of land have been left idle and the majority of people are marginalized, it would have a palpable beneficial impact to the local community. With this farming venture, previously untapped lands will be put to goods use, aside from providing income to landowners and employment to local residents in nearby areas.
